A European otter, in more of a painty than a realistic style - I wanted represent the movement and beauty of water, and the conflicting notions of mammals being thought of land-based, but otters being so streamlined and at home in the water...
Mmm . . . I love the different shades of blue used to portray the water. Also, the contrast between the stylistic rendering of most of the paintng and the realistic details of the eyes and the nose is wonderful. I adore that wet-looking nose.
